Frisco, Texas is an amazing city full of different dynamics ranging from activities involving pure joy, family-fun, knowledge & information, or for the business-oriented lifestyle. Frisco is an essential spot on the map for many company headquarters due to its’ location relative to Sam Rayburn Tollway & Dallas North Tollway extending North to U.S. Route 380 & backing itself right up against the Eastside of Lewisville Lake. This town has become a thriving city by striking an ideal balance between work-life & home-life for individuals or families. With so many things to do in Frisco, it’s no wonder how they have established themselves in North Texas so firmly as a fantastic place to raise a family. Through the past years, Frisco has confidently built & branded their town as “Sports City U.S.A.“. They have 7 professional sports teams that perform activities inside the walls of the city. The Ford Center at the Star is where the Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters are located as well as their 12,000-seat indoor multi-use event center. This event center has an indoor & outdoor field for practice grounds for the Cowboys when they are in regular season. In addition to this event center being used by the Cowboys, the Frisco Independent School District did a brilliant thing and partnered with the Dallas Cowboys to bring their high school football games to the event center. The Frisco Independent School District invested $30 million that would have been spent otherwise separately to build & maintain facilities for each of the 9 high schools. Maintenance costs for a single facility year-round can cost over a million dollars when not in-use, in addition to the actual construction cost of a new stadium which can total over several million dollars for each school. This move by the City of Frisco is huge for the Frisco Independent School District and all the residents within which benefit off the facility’s presence & fantastic restaurants & hot-spots that are located around the event center. The Dallas Rattlers are a Major League Lacrosse team that relocated to Frisco from Rochester, New York to play their home games inside The Ford Center at The Star as well. Frisco also has the FC Dallas Soccer Club that participates in Major League Soccer at Toyota Stadium which houses the newly built National Soccer Hall of Fame just North of Downtown Frisco & the Frisco Square. Moving south on the map, The Frisco RoughRiders are a Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers that play baseball at the outdoor, 10,316-capacity Dr Pepper Ballpark. The Texas Legends, Gatorade League affiliate of the Dallas Mavericks play basketball right behind the RoughRiders inside the Dr Pepper Arena. Similarly, the indoor football team Texas Revolution recently moved their operations from Allen to Frisco in late 2017 to play their games inside the Dr Pepper Arena. Furthermore, the Dallas Stars practice at the Dr Pepper StarCenter, which is connected next door to the Dr Pepper Arena. This superfecta of professional sports teams located off the NE corner of the Dallas North Tollway & Gaylord Parkway gives the community of Frisco a plethora of events to attend as a family for a no-cost or low-cost price. Frisco has prided itself as a healthy & active community going all the way back to 2011, being named by Men’s Journal as “The Best Place to Raise an Athlete“. These components are at the core of what Frisco, Texas is about by striving for a balance between the way we live, work, and play. There are performance & development facilities for youth to participate in such as The P.I.T., Fieldhouse USA, Lonestar Volleyball, or Texas Ford Aquatics. These indoor facilities are just another extracurricular avenue for the community to engage and participate in, holding the branded “Sports City U.S.A.” true to its’ name. If you are a book worm or just love history & culture there are several museums within the municipality including the National Video Game Museum. These dynamic aspects of Frisco create a holistic environment to settle down & call home, which brings us to Frisco’s newest community, “The Grove“.
